AWIS Institutional Partner Program

Institutional Partnerships are open to any university or college
that supports the mission of AWIS.  The primary purpose of
the Institutional Partnership Program allows AWIS to support
the efforts of institutions in promoting equality and diversity
among faculty and students in their STEM programs. This
partnership also provides an opportunity for professional
development of both faculty and undergraduate/graduate students.

Additionally, our institutional partners are seen as leading employers and supporters of women in
STEM. Free advertising, sponsorship and job postings are a few of the tangible benefits your
institution will receive.  We have a number of options available, including our newly-developed Collegiate Rep Program.

AWIS recognizes that a big concern for undergraduate/graduate students in STEM is employment. Making connections with professional women employed in STEM fields is a great opportunity for them.   So, we have made it easier for your undergraduate/graduate students to connect.

Institutions who join or renew as an Institutional Partner level will be automatically enrolled as a participant in our Collegiate Rep Program. All of the institutions undergraduate/graduate students enrolled in a STEM program are eligible to receive a free membership in AWIS.   AWIS will send you marketing materials and set up a personalized landing page for your students to sign up!

When you partner with AWIS, you strategically connect with a broad community dedicated to
advancing diversity in our nation’s science and technical enterprise. It is a visible expression
of your institution's support for advancing gender equity and women’s full participation in academia.

Membership includes subscriptions to quarterly AWIS Magazine, bi-monthly Washington Wire
e-newsletter, AWIS in Action! monthly e-newsletter, access to AWIS webinars and more.

"In addition to my teaching and scholarship activities, I have been committed to the development of programs that increase the recruitment and retention of women undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty in the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics at Towson University (TU). I am also the PI on an NSF ADVANCE IT-START grant recently funded to determine the campus climate and issues related to women faculty in the sciences and mathematics."
